Believe it or not, deep breathing, getting more O2 can greatly benefit your memory. You can either do it during "official" meditations or you can just practice deep breathing.
Slightly arch your back, lower and upper, when you breath in and let your back relax on the exhale. Be sure to breathe deep into your diaphram. Deep and slow.
As a student you might already be aware that the brain, despite it's size take up A LOT of oxygen and if you don't have enough you brain burns out. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how smoking could effect your memory so if you smoke even occassionally then stop right now.
The Gingo extract is supposed to work but personally it never made any difference to me, but I guess it's worth trying out. As far as the Rx's go, I couldn't help you there. I have a strong mistrust of drugs both over and behind the counter and am very careful what herbs I put into my body.
But I do know the deep breathing will help your memory and your peace of mind if you do it right.
go to google.com and look up Lucidal and that enhances to not only help you concentrate but it gets rid of the toxins from food that you eat that goes to your brain.
