When a person smokes marijuana does it have the same bad effects on your lungs and body as cigerattes do?

Question:

Answers:
Well, you ARE breathing in smoke and therefore ARE staining your lungs...however, cigarettes contain a lot of other chemicals (some 500 or something like that, I'm not sure) which are known to cause cancer (supposedly, they contain rat poison) whereas pot is simply an herb...so far, they say it has no link to cancer, but that only means you wont get it from the smoke itself...the carbon buildup in your lungs is different altogether.

It also seems to not have any permanent damage to your brain, unless of course you're never sober...

Legal restrictions aside, you could almost say that if you HAD to choose which to smoke, I personally would go for the natural herb than the poison stick myself.

Ideally...you shouldn't do either. ; )
Clean your pipe! The same thing happens to your lungs.
