Help: My mom won't take me to the dermatologist!?

Question:
I need to see a dermatologist because my skin recently started peeling abnormally for no reason at all and my friends and people on here say I should go see a dermatologist. But my mom won't take me. So how would I see a dermatologist? Help!!

Answers:
call to make an appointment and ride the city bus there. I don't think a teenager needs to have parental permission, but then I am not certain. Its probably dry skin, you should try rubbing a moisturizer on it for a week and see if the flaking stops. If not, it could be Cirrhosis. Nothing serious but I believe it requires special care

your insurance information should be on file with the clinic already. as for your social security card you should not have to bring it. In fact I have never had them even ask me for identification. As for moisturizers, try a facial moisturizer, there is a johnson and johnson product called Purpose, this is a really good product line and doesn't contain all that gunk that is bad for the skin. Hope that helps hun, bad skin sucks, I know, I have Rosacea!
