Is 5'2'' for a 15 yr old considered short?

Question:
I'm so sick of people saying I'm short.
I'm not exactly skinny either, (around 48-50kg). Is there any other way I can grow? Other than wearing heels that'll boost my height.

Answers:
There are more important things than being short. Over look those that say you are short.
Well, I'm 5'2" and I'm 23!

But the good news for you is that you are still growing. I'm sure you will get at least another inch or two.
not a girl

drink lots of milk if you want to grow. Also you can to certain stretches meant to straighten your spine

Well considering you're in puberty eat more greens, veggies, fruits and things that contain lots and lots of vitamins, nutrients etc. No offence, but 5'2" is short for a 15 year old female and I am only 12 just the average height of my class and I am 5'2"!! Good Luck on diet! Hey and sometimes it is likely for girls to grow really tall if they sprout later than others! (sprout= when you hit the time your body stretches like crazy)
it is short but don't worry about it. a lot of girls are the same height you are.
You won't have stopped growing yet, but there are plenty of people your height, I'm 23 and 5'3.
You height is determined by your genes, but make sure you get the vitamins and minerals you need, including calcium, to ensure that you grow to your maximum height.
No, it is not. You will grow more, there is nothing you can do to change your height, other than heels. Don't worry, ignore those people, they are the ones with a problem, they need to grow up!
they say alot of girls stop growing around 16 yrs, but that's not always the truth, if you like milk drink lots of it, the calcium is good for your bones and it could make you grow another inch, my mom was 5'3 for a long time she was telling me but when she turned 21 she grew like an inch until she was 23 and than now she's 5'4, well maybe she shrunk again i dunno i cant really tell, but 5'2 is'nt short i think it's average height.
i would say yeah kind of cuz i am 11 and 5'1
well if you was in the philippines.you would be average...

just eat right and see if your gene pool has tall people...youll still grow because you are only fifteen.
That's not short at all, my mother is shorter than you are! I wouldn't worry about it. You can always take human growth hormone but the long term side effects have not been determined. And regarding the 11 yr old who answered, she needs to understand that every person has different genetics and thus will turn out to be a different height and body build/weight. I mentioned my teeny tiny mother yes? Well I'm 5'9" because my genetics were from my 6'3" father, not my 5' mother.

When people tell you that you are short, tell them to bugger off and point out how out of shape, dim witted, poorly groomed, poorly coiffed, poorly dressed, etc they are. Nothing like a dose of one's own medicine to shut their mouths.
Just live and be happy, as you height is not measured in a stick, it's measured in how you carry yourself, and do with the time you have on this earth...We all grow to be happy, healthy, and mature in our daily habits...
Good luck to you......
YES...ACTUALLY, ...BUT U STILL HAVE 3 YRS..TO GROW...EAT HEALTHY FOOD..AND EXCERCISE ADEQUATELY...DONT GO ON A DIET...OR UR HAIR...AN SKIN WILL BECOME A WASTE
"For a 15 year old male the average height would be 67 inches (50th percentile) and the normal range would be from 63 inches (10th percentile) to 72 inches (90th percentile). The average height for a 15 year old female would be 64 inches with the normal range being from 60.5 inches to 67 inches."

The average height for 15 year old girls is between 5 feet and 5' 7". The absolute median being 5'4". So you're on the lower end of the spectrum but in all honesty you're quite the normal height.
But then again you might not be done growing yet...
"Females do not stop growing just because they reach a certain age. It depends on when puberty started. The "average" girl continues to grow about 2 inches after she starts menstruating. About 2 years after that first menstrual period, the growth plates in the bones close, and no further growth can take place."
Determining average height depends on a few factors. Are you male/female? What is your ethnic background - White, African American, Hispanic, Asian, etc.?

I see that you are female and personally, I would say that you are a bit below average height for your age.

Your adult height will not be reached until the ages of 18-21 (roughly) so you still have a chance to grow a bit naturally.

Following is a link that gives some great information about age and height.
