If I absolutely had to choose, alcohol because it's yummy, and you can control how drunk you get by mixing it with diet coke and stuff. I've never tried pot and never will, because there's such a high risk of it making it easier for you to develop things like schizophrenia and freaky crap like that that you can't cure. Also, weed would really screw me over in the end because I'm making an attempt to get into law enforcement...
marijuana, one person on here says that u can control how drunk u get and cant control the other, well my friend, how many times have u ever talked to someone and they were drunk and just made a fool out of themselves cuz they dont know what is going on. that never happens with marijuana. u can die from alcohol, there has never been one reported overdose case from marijuana. it takes a 4:1 ratio to die from alcohol. and around 400:1 to die from pot, now lets look at how much that is. we are talking about a joint the size of a light pole to kill u. You can only physicly be addicted to one of the two in question here... any guesses... it may suprise u that the one that is the cause of countless deaths and broken lives and shatered familys is the one that is LEGAL... i was so infuriated the other day i read a story that stated smoking a joint hightens your chances to mental illness. i had to laugh when i read this story. it gave the examples of 3 people who killed people, they put it in this story to scare us into thinking that is what caused it. all 3 cases in that story the killer did smoke pot, but lets look at how many people eat peanut butter.. and commit crimes. The "war agains drugs" i think is a great cause.. there are many harmfull substances out there that we do need to be aware of, meth for example is the most dangerous thing out there right now and is being used by everyone, from rich to poor, and is ruining more lives in one day than pot has since the day someone said... " i wonder if i can smoke this." I am getting sick of this Reefer Madness propaganda that we are being fed by the goverment, who tells the media to tell us what is right and what is wrong. i cant remember the day that i signed up for someone else to tell me what is right and what is wrong. Did u know that when u smoke pot, your alpha wave levels rise... what alpha waves are is a part of your brain linked to creativeness (hence music and art) and meditaion and relaxation. There is no addictive substances in THC, the active chemical in marijuana that give the high. I dont see how a man can get off work, go to a bar, get plowed, drive home drunk, get a DUI and get off with a ticket, fines, and maybe a night in jail, and when someone gets caught with marijuana, they get the book. If you want to know which is better. find out for urself, dont let the media or anyone else tell u what is right and what is wrong. DONT BE TOLD AN ANSWER, GO FIND THE ANSWER ON YOUR OWN
Cannabis by far. So many take drug war propaganda hook, line and sinker. I use Marinol(synthetic THC) by prescription to offset the psychosis caused by antipsychotics. I'm sure that sounds strange but it's not. A misdiagnosis of psychosis is devastating because antipsychotics cause the condition in those who aren't psychotic. Disturbingly, Marinol's price is over five times higher than the street price of cannabis. No other pharmaceutical based on a natural substance comes close to a price distinction like that.
ive smoked pot for 35 years the side effects were really minimum ..i wonder where my liver would be today if i drank for 35 years..not to i cant enjoy a beer or a whiskey at a social event but if you r gonna have an addiction i prefer it being pot
well... alcohol messes up your life on the long term. your bein drunk would affect people around you and your family etc. for pot, all it does is kill your ambitions a little bit so its less of a consequence. i think getting drunk is a lot more fun then getting high but i get high more often
