Annual physical: Does the bra stay on or does it come off?

Question:
I need to know what all of you ladies do in this situation! First, I am not referring to your GYN, or your "well woman" visit. I'm talking about your annual physical with your primary care physician (internist, family doctor, whatever you call him/her.)

When I go, the nurse leaves me in the examining room with instructions to remove "everything" from the waist up, and to put on the paper gown.

Here is where you all come in..do you actually take off your BRA? I usually leave mine on, cause I never know if "everything" really means EVERYTHING!

If I take it off, I'm wondering if my doctor will think, "What an idiot -- she took off her bra. No one does that!". OR is he actually thinking, "What an idiot -- she can't even follow simple instructions!"

Again..what do YOU do???

Answers:
you take it off. they need to do a quick "lump look" as I call it where they search for any irregular bumbs within your breast. The nurse will tell you if you can leave your bra on if you can. If she says to take everything off, it all comes off
i wouldnt take it off, especially if your your docter is male
Take it off!
If they say everything they mean everything. And it all depend on why did you go and see your doctor. If it is a problem with the chest yes take off the BRA if not he can ask you to take it off. So i will say that yes it is you re choice.
