Why is it when my throat hurts, my ear hurts too.?

Question:
But the thing is, it's only on the left side of my throat and my left ear that hurts.
Why is that?

Answers:
Ears, nose and throat are connected. Doctors specialize in that field (ENTs).

If the left side of your throat and left ear hurt, chances are you have an ear infection. Have your Doctor check it.
because your ears and throat share the same nerves, and usually its called reffered pain. ask ur dr
You may have a sinus infection or you may also just have moisture in your ear that is draining to your throat and nose. YES THEY ARE ALL CONNECTED. Get to the doctor if it gets too bothersome, or go the the local drug store and pick up a sinus spray.
There are eustation (may not be spelled right, but it's close!) tubes that go from your ears to your throat. One of each side. Maybe only one is clogged or infected. You may need antiboitics for that, unless you can drain it yourself...
You ears and throat and eyes are all connected by the same tubes. which is why if you have a sore throat your ears will hurt because the tubs around your throat (and therefore ears) are sore... its also why if you put drops in your ears/eyes you can taste them in your throat (the tubes all connect)
Your eyes, ears and throat are all connected. If you accidently ever sneezed after drinking milk, that's why the milk comes out of your nose! If you put a flexible tube up your nose, and kept swallowing, it would go down your throat into your stomach! I've actually sneezed while drinking kool-aid once and it squirted out of my eyes! Grape kool-aid burns!
ear throat and nose doctor can help you better than anyone here!
Most likely you have a ear infection and it has gone into your throat or visa versa you should see a doctor right away and not wait any longer.
Your Eustachian tubes connect your ears to the back of your throat, so the two are very close to each other. It's possible that any virus/bacteria that are infecting your throat could be traveling through the tube into your ear. There's also a chance that it's just a weird reaction in your nerves, like when you touch one part of your body and feel it somewhere else.
