Stung By A Yellow Jacket, What Do I Do??

Question:
No more than 5 minutes ago, I got stung by a yellow jacket. Where I got stung, it's red and it's starting to swell up. What do I do. I tried to find the stinger, but I can't find it. Will something happen to me if I don't get it out? What do I do?

Answers:
yIt will be red swollen and painful for a few days. For relief you can cover it with calamine lotion and take some benadryl. Application of ice is also good for the pain. You'll be okay as long as you don't develop hives or swelling anywhere else on your body and especially if you have trouble breathing or tightness in your throat. That will mean you are having an allergic reaction and should go to the nearest emergency department ASAP.
ice! and to be on the safe side take some benedryl in case of an allergic reaction, if u start haveing trouble breathing call 911!!
A yellow jacket doesn't lose it's stinger when it stings, since it's smooth. It can sting you repeatedly. If nothing else, put some ice on it. As long as you're not allergic to bee stings, you'll be fine.
