Tramadol??
Question:
Answers:
Tramadol works in the brain to relieve pain, similar to the way the opioids work. It does not get rid of the pain, rather it changes your brain's perception of the pain.
Because it works on receptors in the brain, there is a chance that it can cause euphoria, although it is not as common as with the opioids (morphine, codeine, etc.).
Drowsiness is a more common side effect with this drug than euphoria.
It shouldn't...though every person reacts to meds differently.
I've been taking it for shoulder pain and haven't experienced an untoward side effects, nor have I ever known anyone else to.
Everybody is different. When I was on it, it was an excellent pain reliever - which is what it was prescribed for. But no, it didn't cause a euphoric feeling. I imagine if a person took more than what was prescribed it would have some kind of effect.
