What are some ways to get rid of a cold w/out using pills?

Question:

Answers:
I never take medication for colds. When I feel the symptoms coming on, I take lots and lots of Vitamin C, 1000mg five to six times a day. The symptoms usually stay mild and the cold doesn't last very long, a couple of days. And I drink lots and lots of water.
Nothing gets rid of a cold. It has to run it's course. If you are just starting to come down with it you can lessen the severity of it by using Zicam nasal spray or zinc lozenges to suck on.
Chicken soup, orange juice and wrap yourself in a blanket and sweat it out...
As they say, if you treat a cold, it will take 7 days. If you DON'T treat it, it will take a week.
Keep comfortable and treat the symptoms as best as possible. It just has to run it's course.

BTW - if the symptoms (stuffy/runny nose, etc.) don't seem to get better, you may have allergies. Unfortunately, more and more people are getting allergies from the different pollutants in the air.
You really cant, just drink plenty of orange juice and ride it out.
