Answers:
I know for a fact its 5mg oxycodone, and 325 Acetominophen
which is the generic form of percocet. Oxycodone alone is either called roxidone or oxyIR, and the sustained released tablets are oxycontin. Vicodin is hydrocodone with Acetominophen (I know what it is but who cares how its spelled)
Vicodin -Hydrocodone 5/500APAP
Hydrocet -Vicodin in capsule
Percocet -Oxycodone 5/325APAP
Percodan-Oxycodone W/asprin
Tylox -Oxycodone 5/500APAP
Tylenol3 -Codine W/Acetominophen
Roxidone-5-15mg oxycodone
OxyIR -5mg Oxycodone IR(immediate release)
Oxycontin-10,20,40,80mg oxycodone (extended release)
same as vicoden...
hydrocodone?
That is oxycodone. Oxycodone contains acetominophine.
if its real small and round its probably an oxy 5 but if its big and round its a perkocet
no it's not
oxycodone plain is also different from oxycodone with tylenol-- both of them are CII's- the rx is only good for 7 days in certain states.
vicodin is controlled to- but it is not as strong and controlled as oxycodone
okay so i am totally confused. are you sure its W/apap 5/325
b/c usually aspirin comes in 325 not acetaminophen. And the name for acetaminophen is APAP. Now the oxycodone is codiene with some other type of pain med. It sounds like you have a percocet which is acetaminophen and codiene. Double check your prescription bottle or even the pill. if oyu want you can email me what the pill looks like and I can take it for sure.
oxycodone is differant from hydrocodone, Its percocet and hydrocodone is Lortab or vicadin.
Oxycodone is different from vicodin. Vicodin is actually a brandname for hydrocodone. Both are similar to codeine and are used as pain killers, though oxycodone is generally considered to be stronger. Oxycodone is sold under the brand names of Percocet, and Oxycontin (which is a continuous release form of the drug, hence the "contin").
Both drugs must be prescribed by a doctor.
You are right that it is 5mg of oxycodone and 325mg of acetaminophen. Both oxycodone and hydrocodone pills have acetaminophen included in them to help with pain killing and to deter drug-abuse since acetaminophen is dangerous to the liver in high doses and most abusers will limit how many pills they take so they do not take in too much acetaminophen.
Your prescription will tell you the amount of the narcotic and the amount of the placebo.
In your case it is 5MG Narcotic And 325MG Acetaminophen(Tylenol)
Which indicates you are on a low dose version.
There is two (I am not sure of the spelling) Oxycodone and lets say Oxycodine. One is time released taken every 12 hours and one is quick release to be used when there is a break through in the time release. I could research this and give you the exact spelling and names but you could have done that in the first place.
Well, it is still Oxycodone, just with Tylenol added. Vicodin is a different drug class. Vicodin is Hydrocodone. They are all opioids, but are not the same. I am not sure if you meant is Oxycodone/APAP 5/325 is the same as Oxycontin. If that is your question, then yes & no. Yes, they are both Oxycodone, but no...they are different pills. Percocet is Oxycodone/APAP & comes in the following strengths: 2.5/325; 5/325; 7.5/500; 7.5/325; 10/650. Percocet is the BRAND NAME & Oxycodone/APAP is the GENERIC NAME. The strength 5/325 is 5 mg of Oxycodone & 325 mg of Acetaminophen.
