Why is eating ice bad for the tummy?
Question:
Answers:
Apparently Chinese don't do cold drinks cause they are too cold and this upsets the balance.
See an accupuncturist and get some needles they will recommend herbs and certain foods will benefit your problem.
Says who ?
It's not bad for your stomach, it's bad for your teeth. You might start to make them weark munching hard on something so solid. If your teeth are already weak they might just chip, and most definitely give you cavities
It isn't bad for your stomach - it's bad for your teeth. Prolonged chewing can damage the enamel and cause cavities to form.
(Either that or you can bust a tooth. My dad had to have crowns because he chewed ice for many, many years.)
I've never heard that it's bad for the tummy (it's plain liquid H2O when it gets to your tummy).hospitals give it to patients after surgery. There may be a danger of choking if you swallow a piece that's too large.
The only thing that is might do to your stomach is your food doesn't digest as well with really cold liquid in your tummy, but that is about it when it comes to the stomach, but as for your teeth it will play havic and on your iron levels it will actually prevent you from absorbing the needed iron. It is more of a hinderance that anything.
I too am anemic and have been for years and years. Once you get your levels up it should subside quite a bit.
I could not take regular iron pills because they make me so sick, but I did find a natural iron water that is from spatone in wales that they deliver to me. My levels went from almost 0 up to 14 within 2 months of taking it. It is an sachel that has the iron water in it and you put it in juice to cut the matalic taste and it doesn't cause any side effects at all.
Seaband makes it too. Look for spatone on the internet and it will come up. Good luck with everything and keep taking your iron so you can stop chewing the ice.
No, eating ice is not bad for you tummy. They give crushed ice to patients in the hospital who cannot eat anything else. I'm curious what being anemic has to do with eating ice though. If your anemic, you should be taking iron suppliments.
