I am the BIGGEST baby when it comes to shots. Do they hurt a lot? How do they feel?

Answers:
I got this from a website..
"German researchers have discovered that coughing during an injection can lessen the pain of the needle stick. According to Taras Usichenko, author of a study on the phenomenon, the trick causes a sudden, temporary rise in pressure in the chest and spinal canal, inhibiting the pain-conducting structures of the spinal cord."
also, to calm yourself down:
"Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical- services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It’ll get your heart rate back to normal."
i'd say a shot doesn't hurt quite a lot, it probably feels like someone pinching you with their fingernails (not very hard)
you'll be fine =)
i just got my shots 2 days ago..my arm is swelling a bit, but i heard that was a natural side effect. my doctor recommended me to take some tynenol or any pain killer. but my arm should be fine by tommorrow =)
hope that helps =)
Shots do not hurt. it is a little pinch and there might be some burning but nothing major. tetanus shot your arm might be sore for a couple days.
Shots hurt a lot less if you do two things: (1) Relax the arm that you're about to get the needle in as much as possible, and (2) Look away from the person giving you the shot. If you don't anticipate it, you can't tense up. Tense muscles are what make shots hurt.
The chicken pox booster will actually hurt less than the tetanus shot. Tetanus shots don't hurt much when you get them, but they hurt later. They can make your arm swell up some. There is an easy fix for that though: Take Motrin.
shots are shots of course they hurt but the good thing is it lasts less than a minute and if you have a good doctor or nurse and you tell them you have a fear of shots their going to help you though it. It also helps to count backwards from 10 and most of the time it's over and done with before you reach 1.
it feels like a very small/weak pinch or an ant bite. Plus there is no blood at all.
