Any remedies for getting rid of a 3 day headache that pain killers won't touch?

Question:
It's nothing sinister - just one of those dragging headaches that some of us lucky folk get from time to time.

No matter how much panadol I gobble it won't budge.

I'm miserable 8-(

Any advice?

hey, my husband told a friend of his to have her teeth checked. She was complainning of a head-
ache all the time. Like it wouldnt go away. Well, sure enough it was her tooth. She had a tooth ache and really didnt know it. When she got it fixed the headache went away. Please, try not to take some much of the pain pill. Try to find out the cause of the head ache. best of luck
Sounds like a migraine if it is lasting 3 days. You might need to go to the doctor and get something especially for migraines, or go to the ER and let them do a workup on you and give you a shot of something to knock you out and let you sleep it off. That is too intense, having a headache for that long. If you know it isn't sinus headache, I'd go to doctor or ER. If you think it could be sinus, steam with vicks in it sometimes helps, but you probably tried all that, so call the doc. Get well soon.
may want to go to the hospital to make sure you dont have anything wrong with your brain
You should find out what kind of headache it is, so if there's a next time (let's hope not!)your doctor can give you the right meds. You shouldn't have to suffer that long. It's just not fair or necessary! It's only a migraine if it's on one side only. If it's across your forehead and top of your head, it's a tension headache. I think you should see your doctor, tell him everything, and get some meds! You may suggest Fiorinal or Fioricet (one has aspirin, the other Tylenol.) That works for a lot of different headaches. In the meantime, try "Head-On." I hear it works, (For menstrual cramps too, btw). Good luck to you, sweetie. Hope its gone soon. :)
i get the same thing, painkillers dont help and neither does sleep.. try a cold wet towel over your head and lay in a dark quiet room.. it some times helps.. also you could put some vapour rub on your forehead.. its a cheaper and better alternative to "forehead" (that menthol stick you rub on your forehead for headaches)

hope its of some help.. i know how sucky the headaches are..
