Get yourself to your nearest Walgreens, and get some Walborne. It is like Airborne, but even better (in my humble opinion!). I have used both, and in my experience Walborne is better. Also get some Dayquil, and take one an hour before your appointment. (and be sure to wash your hands well before you shake hands with the interviewer!) In addition, gargle with some Listerine (generic works here, too), which will kill the germs in your throat that are causing the irritation and will make your throat feel alot better right away. These are the ways I combat colds, and haven't gotten a full-fledged cold in quite awhile, using them at the first sign of a cold or flu. If the cold is already in full swing, they can shorten the duration and help with the symptoms. If you have to sneeze, use your elbow, that is what we all do at the hospital. When you use your hands, you get the germs on your hands, then pass them to others if you shake hands or touch door knobs, etc.
You go, you take some medicine about twenty minutes before hand and you force yourself to be bright eyed and cheery for the interview. If it comes up, then yes, let them know you are not feeling well, but let them see how determined you are to be there.
Call and explain your situation and let them tell you to come in or come later when you are well.
I wouldn't reschedule unless you're completely drained and would be too tired for the interview. Maybe your should stop by your doctor and pick up an antibiotic, like z-pack, to kill the infection. Also drink plenty of fluids and get lots of rest.
Best of luck on your interview!
