talk to your doctor.
It is "acid reflux". I don't know whether it affects all people the same way but with me it is kind of like heartburn. And, if you try to burp, food or liquid comes up in your throat. Also, I have had choking spells. My physician prescribed Ranitidine for me.
First of all, its not a 'disease'. That terminology was penned by the drug companies to make you think you need a doctor and prescription. When you burp and it tastes bad, kind of acidy-that's what it is. Your body wants more acid in your stomach. How thoroughly are you chewing your food? You need to combine saliva with stomach acid to digest the food. If you take 2 tablespoons of vinegar in a half glass of water, or, have Italian dressing on your salad, it will really help. Don't take any stuff like prylosec or tums-that will coat your stomach and stop all acid from getting to the food. Your food will go to the intestinal tract undigested and will not be absorbed there. You will not get any nutrition out of this food and your body will be, in effect, starving itself.
laying down to sleep you get a burning sensation in area above stomach. some times it comes out as burning vomit . bending over to pick up item on the ground you get a feeling of stoma ck discomfort particularly after a meal
Having a bad sour or bitter taste in your mouth is another one of the acid reflux symptoms. Stomach acid is sour and when regurgitated, you will be able to taste it. Some people have difficulty or find it painful to swallow, which is another acid reflux symptom.
The scariest of acid reflux symptoms is probably chest pain. Acid reflux chest pains can closely mimic the pain associated with heart attack. Even if you have been diagnosed with acid reflux disease, chest pain might be associated with heart attack or another condition instead of your reflux. Never take for granted that your chest pain is related to your acid reflux, especially if your family has a history of heart attacks. Have any chest pain evaluated by a professional. Your doctor can help you distinguish the difference between the two chest pains.
Other acid reflux symptoms include hoarseness, wheezing and coughing, and sore throat, all caused by the stomach acid damaging either the esophagus, vocal chords, throat or lungs. If acid is regurgitated into the mouth, it can also erode tooth enamel and cause chronic bad breath.
