Acyclovir, why are they white pills now?

Question:
I just got a refill on my prescription yesterday. The pills for acyclovir use to be blue, but now their white. Anyone know why? it made me nervous to take them, I'm use to the blue ones lol

Answers:
Are the white pills the same dose?? If so, usually this happens when a different manufacturer produces the med. Ask your pharmacist or call the Doc's office that prescribed to be sure that it is the same.
It could be that they may be generic meaning they're not a particular brand name. Check your bottle to see if that is the case. If it is generic, it would have a different name, and if that doesn't help, call the pharmacist and ask about the different color.
