Is it bad to drink soda while taking antibiotics?

Question:

Answers:
No, but sodas are bad for you anyway...
no, just alcohol
Not that I'm aware of, but water with your pills is always a good idea. If you're having problems, it's possible your body doesn't like the mixture of the acids or sugars in the soda mixed with the antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon!
Read the pamphlet with all the directions. If you threw it away, just call your pharmacist. He/she will be able to answer your question for certain. Remember, it could depend on which antibiotic you're on. In the meantime, drink water or juice instead. It's better for you anyway!! :)
Yes, drinking soda with any type of medication isn't good. It breaks down the medication faster so when it reaches the stomach, you aren't getting the full effects. If you drink water and take your antibiotics, once they reach your stomach you stomach's natural mechanism is to break things down. So, it will all in natural timing break down the antibiotic you are taking, and send all the chemicals where they need to go. Drinking soda isn't healthy on a good day, let alone when you are sick and taking medication.
Well technically, soda's aren't good for you. But I doubt there is anything different about taking antibiotics with soda. I heard taking pills with soda helps them disolve faster giving effects faster.
LOL...I got an infection like 1 week ago for "ingrown hair" below my lower lip, and I'm on antiboitics, and I'm drinking Mountain Dew right now!

P.S. I think it's fine.
