I was only on Halcion for a short while before my Dr switched me over to AMBIEN. It works well but I found I built up a tolerance to it fairly quickly.
Edit: My psychologist prescribed 2 ambien when I developed a tolerance to them. When I moved my MD would have nothing to do with that. He said only 10mg/day was the maximum recommended dosage. I feel for you. It took a long time to get used to going down in dosage. I assume you are on other meds that influence the effectiveness of the sleeping pill. At least that was what I was up against. I don't think Ambien or Lunesta have the punch that Halcyon does, but then again, they are not nearly as dangerous either. Restoril didn't do a thing for me, but MsSuede had the opposite reaction. The Ambien CR worked better for me. Kept me sleeping longer without waking up. Good luck.
Has anyone ever heard of a 2 (well almost 2) year old getting their tonsils and adenoids out?
My doc switched me to Restoril, it has been great.
there are several sleeping pills out there,
lunesta
ambian
generic name tezamp (dont know its trade name)
i would suggest you disscuss it with your dr or pharmacist they may have some suggestions of what will work for you!
