You generally have to have an empty tummy for the procedure, which means you cannot eat for about 6 hours prior to the scope, if you are having a scope of your colon, you will have to have bowel prep, but I am sure you will be notified about it, if that is what you are going for. Good luck
A light dinner the night before and for eight hours before the procedure, nothing by mouth.
As far as I know you cant eat a few hours before the procedure. My friend had one that was scheduled in the morning (i think at about 10 am) and she had to have her last meal at 8pm the night before. It all depends on the reason you are having the stomach scope as well. I would say check with your doctor if you have a number to call him at. Good luck!
The day before, eat a lighter meal and nothing after midnight. You won't eat again until sometime after the procedure is over.
Didn't your doctor or nurse give you instructions before you left their office? If you received some papers, then reading them would help answer your questions.
ask your doctor
