Im a 24 yr old female, ive been getting constant pins and needles in my right leg and a swelling of my ankle?

Question:
can anybody tell me what they think it may be? its driving me mad. no pain just constant pins and needles

Answers:
Circulation problem. Go to the doctor and find out the cause. You may be diabetic or have blood clots to contend with. Oh yeah, go to the doctor.
go to the doctor! sounds like something is wrong with your circulation
see a Dr is the best thing to do
Sounds like something with the nerves.

You should really go to the doctor.

He or she might recommend physical therapy.
Have you ever hurt your back or your leg? Does it occur at night or during the day? If it's at night it could be restless leg syndrome which they have meds to treat it with.
i think you should go to the doc.it sound like you may something wrong with you oints.it could be some inflametion too. i got that on my back and it feels like pins and needles
If it were just pins and needles, I might guess a pinched nerve. But since you report swelling too, I think you ought to have it checked out. It's the safest thing to do.
possibly diabetes...or bad circulation but thast more of cold feet than pins and needles
RLS
RLS doesn't involve swelling of the ankle,if you're sure you didn't do anything to injure it,have it checked out.it could be fluid buildup, have you worn a new pair of tight shoes?could be something with the muscles or nerves but doesn't sound like immediate danger to your health, make a drs.appt.
