Blood on my pillow?

Question:
I woke up today and I saw that there was blood on my pillow. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a nosebleed since I haven't had one of those in years and there was no dry blood on my face. It was really strange since I don't know where it came from and it's never happened before. What could possibly be the problem?

Answers:
I've had this happen to me before and it's freaky. You could've had a minor nose bleed in your sleep, bit your tongue, jaw or cheek. How much blood was it? Does anything hurt on you right now? Does your ear hurt?

I never did figure out what caused mine.
what you had to eat
it probably was a nose bleed. the same thing happened to me and I woke up without any blood on my face, only on my pillow.
maybe you bit your tongue in your sleep?

Nice hair babe!
you might have a scratch somewhere on your body. if you threw up blood or coughed it up, go to your doctor ASAP!
you might've had a bloody lip or a cut on your face somewhere. search your face for cuts or dried blood.
Could it have been your ear? YOur ear drum could have ruptured but you could probably experience a great amount of pain. Maybe you had a cut on your finger or something!
my first thought was a nose bleeb sometimes when we sleep and get to hot you can have one my ex use to do it all the time
It was definitely, or at least most likely, your ear.
perhaps bleeding gums.if there is a taste of copper in your mouth then i would see a dentist..

.
your lip may have busted & healed while you were sleeping. No biggie, its happened to me plenty of times in the past.
