Answers:
Actually that is normal when you first have ears pierced for most including myself, however, keep it clean and wear good jewelry in your ears. That lump will go down after a short period of time and in one of mine it can still be felt slightly. Nothing to worry about. Soreness is normal too, especially if you wear a heavy metal earring.
You should clean them with peroxide and rubbing alcohol every evening when you take your earrings off. When you have them in, rotate them often.
It's most likely scar tissue...and no, it doesn't go away. I still have a lump from when I got my ears pierced 10 yrs. ago!!
I have this problem too. I don't know. It will be interesting to see the other answers. I know if I quit wearing earrings for awhile it goes away.
i got my ears pierced at the docs decades ago and in one earlobe there is a lump. i only wear earrings occasionally but w/that one ear i have to force the post thru even after all these years. i believe its cartilege (spelling) and i dont know if you can do anything about it. good luck and good question
I get that also and it appears to just be some kind of fluid accumulation. I wash my hands and gently squeeze the earlobe. This allows that fluid to pop or move out through the earring hole. Then follow up with the ear cleaner that they give you at Claire's. Keeping your earrings and earlobe clean with the cleaner seems to help. I have had this happen to me on and off for years with no lasting problems.
