Lately i have much stress.?

Question:

my daughter has moved out and is making bad choices (drugs...etc )she has shut me out. when she told me, she was distraught and hysterical. she is ashamed and said she wants to figure allthis alone. she's afraid she will miss her grandfather and little brother. it's apparent she's leaving the family. i know she doesn't want to hear from me and i know she is adult and i can't get involved anyway. my question is, the stress is killing me. i've been anxious, depressed and stomach sick since she told me. and i have to sit and watch this happen. how can i deal with the anxiety without taking pills. i know the first thing to happen is a prescription to anti-depressants. is there another way?

You need to talk to a therapist. All you can do right now is take care of you. When your daughter does come to you - be there for her and support her.
