I have always hear that it only take 2 weeks to start a new habit and a month to get rid of one.
I have heard, that doing something 21 times makes it a habit. I suppose that would include doing it once a day for 21 days. I suspect that everyone adapts differently, and an addiction to morphine would take less time than an addiction to something less potent. However, this is all hearsay and speculation.
