do you eat heavy greasy meals before you sit to study? are you getting enough of sleep? Maybe change your environment, you said you sit and study which is good, never lie in bed and study cause next thing you know you'll be sleeping...does caffeine help? How about trying some? moderation of course don't get hooked to it
First off all make sure you study a few hours after you have eaten, otherwise your blood flow increases to your stomach instead of your brain. Don't sit on a soft chair or on a bed, it will definitely make you sleepy. When you study sit up straight and and read your study material out loud so that you can see and hear it, it will help you to remember it better. If it still doesn't help you can buy the Beta System which will help you to concentrate even when you really are tired, it also cheap.. Hope it helps...
you might feel tired if you eat a big meal before you study, so that's something to consider.
if you have a problem concentrating, you could have attention deficit, but before you start considering taking the drugs for it, you may want to get tested to be certain and change you eating h abits.
you know, some foods actually make you drowsy. for example, turkey, bananas, milk actually contain triptophane which can do that.
if you are pre-diabetic, a high carb meal could also cause you to feel exhausted. a high blood sugar could certainly affect your concentration as well.
are you getting enough sleep? teens require a lot more sleep than adults. have you ever tried taking a power nap and eating an apple before you study? they say an apple is more effective than a cup of coffee when it comes to energizing a person.
i hope you'll do some experimenting before you get any more stressed out over this problem.
a good multi vitamin may be all you need if you are otherwise in good health. you haven't really told us that much about yourself. i sure hope this helps.
good luck to you.
