Cleft lip surgery ?
Question:
thanks
Answers:
I have had a lot of surgery for my cleft lip and palate.
You won't feel anything during the surgery, obviously, because they'll put you to sleep. Your face will probably feel numb when you wake up afterwards and it will be a little sore but not horrible. They'll give you pain medication to help for the first couple of days.
After that it will probably just be sore if you bump it or try to open your mouth too wide, but that will go away after a few weeks too.
Good luck!
I don't have one but my daughter does..She's almost 2 and born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate..I've heard (can't tell you from experience) that it's not that painful..The swelling and itching are the worst part..More uncomfortable than anything..We were told to use Benedryl for post op and it did wonders!
