Brain Aneurysms -- look it up
im sorry to hear that , thats really interesting though, ive never heard death from a headache before.
Find who has her death certificate and see what was written down as cause of death. Headache would not be acceptable. Could have been a ruptured brain aneurysm. You need to know for your family health history.
It sounds like a possible stroke, brain aneurysm, it could have been numerous things. The brian is quite complicated, and medical science has greatly improved.
Her headaches may have been caused by an aneurysm that eventually ruptured. Or, she may have been experiencing TIA's, which are mini strokes and indicate that a stroke is highly likely .Headaches are common with brain tumors as well. It must be difficult in not knowing what the exact cause of her death was from. Sorry for your loss.
she probably had a brain bleed, a slow leaking aneurysm. my grandmother died of a blood clot to the brain, it happened immediately though, no symptoms, just a headache and then she was gone, right away. my great aunt had a slow brain bleed in the 70's and she took 3-4 years to pass away, sounds very similar to your grandmother. sometimes these things like strokes can be hereditary. mention your concerns to your primary care doctor at your next visit and they will tell you if you should be tested (mri-ct scan) to see if you are susceptible to these types of things. odds are though they will think you are fine. my guess though would be that it was blood on the brain that caused the headache and death, and the cause of that is unknown.
I never knew that somebody can die from having a headache, maybe it's something more then a headache.
