Why do I have a severe headache?

Question:
I had an accident about a week ago, I went to the chiropractor and all was well. About three days ago I developed a headache that does not go away with any over the counter meds. I have also been feeling slightly sick..runny nose, etc. Should I be worried about the headache, could it be more serious??

Answers:
You didn't mention what type of accident you had. Most people would suspect car accident first. You need to see a doctor. There's a bunch of internal problems that can cause this. Head trama is first suspect. It can lead to further more serious problems. Get it checked. Meds may cure the headache, but not what's causing it. Seek help.
Your probably stressed.
go to the doctor immediately
could still be an adrenaline crash..

drink some gatorade.i know that sounds silly but it is suposed to help
Try seeing a massage therapist, they can help you a lot. The accident you had put a lot of muscles out of whack. These muscles are very tight and are working on recovering. It is great that you are going to the chiropractor and that will help, but definitely see a massage therapist. My girlfriend is a massage therapist and by me having massages on a regular basis it keeps my back from going out. Before I was with her it was going out twice a year, I ruptured two discs in my lower back a few years ago. She sees people on a regular basis that suffer from headaches and back pain, etc. Most of her clients find relief just after one massage.I would assume that you have already seen a doctor and were checked out. you were not specific about your injury or the severity.
