Skin inflammation is a sign that toxins are inside your body. It appears externally because your skin is the largest and only visible organ. In the case of serious skin problems, external treatment with a cream is not sufficient. The better approach is to detoxify your body because it then expels the toxins from inside and prevents the problems from recurring. This is how the Psoriaid Herbal Tablet treats psoriasis.

The Psoriaid Herbal Tablet was designed by Dr. Li for all types of psoriasis. This alternative herbal psoriasis treatment has been used in her clinic for over 15 years and approximately 80% of patients with psoriasis have shown dramatic improvements. The formula contains 13 natural herbs which act together to detoxify the body’s system to control the skin inflammation and balance the immune system to prevent lesions from appearing.
See a dermatologist. Ask about Elidel

Best of luck!
I have a friend with it and he goes to the tanning
salons regularly. I guess it really helps clear it up.
But then I wonder if he is trading psoriasis for skin
cancer?
I also have Psoriasis on my scalp, my elbows, and patches on my legs. Occasionally I get patches on my face as well.

T-gel shampoo is good for the scalp (if you can stand the smell of it), but I always follow it up with a really great conditioner because I have long hair, and I don't like how my hair feels after I've used the T-gel - it feels a little dried out.

For the rest of the body...well...I don't mean to discourage you, but I haven't found very much that works well. As I don't have health insurance I can't go to a dermatologist, though I have in the past. He told me to absolutely, positively NOT use anything with any kind of cortical steroid in it. Topical steroids help in the short term quite a bit, but the Psoriasis comes back with a vengeance. And it is more difficult to treat future outbreaks if you've used steroids.

If you have insurance, and it will cover it, Enbrel is a great systemic treatment for Psoriasis. But once you've started using it you have to keep using it until the Psoriasis is completely gone - or again - it comes back with a vengeance. I checked the price (again, since I don't have health insurance), and Enbrel costs about $1500 per month (in Texas) and can clear your Psoriasis up in as little as 3 months, but can take considerably longer (like, years...) This treatment is a major commitment.

I'm sure you probably already know all this, but I need to say it anyway:

1) Ultraviolet radiation (in small doses) is a wonderful thing. Go to a tanning bed or booth for short spurts, or hang out in the sun, but DON'T get sunburned, as that causes additional damage to the skin which leads to...you guessed it...more patches of Psoriasis.

2) If you develop patches anywhere else (I don't recommend this for the face), purchase salt from the Dead Sea (think ebay) and soak in a tubful of it once a week. The higher the salinity in the water, the better. Some really awesome insurace companies will even pay for a trip for people with severe cases of Psoriasis to Jerusalem or some other place located on the shores of the Dead Sea.

3) Find a way to reduce stress in your life. Stress is a major trigger for Psoriasis. I find that if I meditate daily, take a long relaxing bath once or twice a week, and find creative outlets for my stress I get fewer new patches of Psoriasis.

Good luck. Most importantly know that you are not alone. There are thousands of us out here suffering from Psoriasis. The good news is, even though it may not be pretty, Psoriasis won't kill us, unlike some other disorders. So try and stay positive, and try some of these remedies that I've listed.
do believe that there are many treatments in common as well as symptoms that many of us can treat and learn from. It is important to understand what caused your psoriasis, what maintains your psoriasis being affected, and why it improves or worsens. You can find some good treatments at
