With Bones, whats the difference between the iliac and ilium?

anyone?

Answers:    I'm not 100% sure about this, but the track that I understand it is that the word iliac is usually used when referring to the iliac crest, which is necessarily the top border of the ilium, or your pelvis. The ilium itself is the largest part of your pelvis, which forms the wing. There are also the anterior superior, anterior inferior, posterior superior, and posterior inferior iliac spines, so I'm wondering if iliac could just be a derivative of the word ilium. I hope adjectives of that helped you and wasn't too wrong
