What surgery that deals with 4 holes in the stomach?

i have a freind thats maybe 22 years old and shes average built...not skinny not fat..but my other freind just told me she had surgery where 4 holes were put in her stomach..what wrong? whats the cause? and why?

i got that from when they took out my gallbladder. its better than having one big scar. easier healing too. i went home the next day

Could be gallbladder surgery (3 holes + belly button), or bariatric (gastric bypass) surgery (4 holes + belly button), both are laproscopic. Pictures on links below.

There are more than one type of surgeries it could be. I had my gall bladder out a couple years ago and they made three incisions in my belly and one in my belly button. Could also be appendix, or something else. You could simply ask her if she's had any surgery.
