Controlling panick attacks...?
Question:
Answers:
Try a claritan (antihistamine) I had heard about that and it worked!
Last Friday, was like my first time out of the house to go out anywhere since November . THe one place that I have gone is the Dr's office and that is it!
All of a sudden, I was freaking out and feeling horrible. So I took one. Everytime I looked at my watch, I took a deep breath - that helped. .
I think if you ASK if you can try the Over the counter antihistimine (i am not going around prescribing! just a suggestion-ok)
I sing (when I'm alone) to help me not think about panicking. It works for me, but I also keep Xanax with me at all times. I don't take them regularly; just when I need them. I break them into small pieces, that way they help me, but I don't feel like I've taken medication, you know?
Oh, and I know that feeling SO well. If you can't sing (I mean because people are around), immediately refocus your attention onto something. Look something up on the computer. Answer questions here...anything that will divert your attention away from focusing on that feeling!
Good luck!
I know all too well about those darn things. i take xanax. when you feel one coming on "go to your happy place". Hypnonsis works absolute wonders. Look in the yellow places for one. Most of them will even make you a personalized DVD. It's helped me thru some pretty bad stuff.
go haead and try thr medication again.if you get better you can alway stop.if you think your ill always see a doctor.even people with panic get sick.maybe it is not all in your head.
