Yes vitamins do help and there is proof, I ran three health food stores for several years and there is lots of proof..in our society we do not have the right foods to provide the nutrients to keep the body going..eating right helps alot..also if you take echinecha every third day it will help your immune strong..but you can become immune to it so dont take it every day..garlic also helps to clean the blood and keep the veins clear...natural is always better, the more natural raw foods you eat the healther you will be...and dont forge to drink lots of clean water...
Taking a multivitamin does help maintain a strong immune system.
I don't eat a lot of vitamins, but I ingest enough iron, get enough sleep, and wash my hands a lot. I'm almost never sick, maybe a cold in the winter, but that's about it.
Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables and having a well balanced diet definitely reduced your chances of getting sick. The more antioxidants and proper nutrients you consume the better. It is also far better to get these through proper diet, than by popping a pill. I eat a well balanced diet and exercise regularly. I haven't gotten sick in years.
I don't get sick very often - only if I get very run down. I'm not good about taking my vitamins, often I eat what I want not what I should, and getting to the gym has been next to impossible this year. Perhaps I have a strong immune system since I work in a hospital.
Yeah, I read all the time that vitamins are not as good as what you would obtain from fruits and veggies. I eat those everyday too. Maybe it is just mind over matter- but I take a daily multivitamin, cranberry, vitamin C, lutein, and sometimes the calcium chews. I don’t ever get sick. If I feel a cold coming on- I take 5 vitamin C chewable tabs- you’re probably not supposed to- but it works for me. Oh, and I love Airborne. I take that religiously before and after I'm on a plane or around a bunch of people.
I almost never get sick. I don't really know why because I'm not the healthiest eater. I do eat a lot of fruits and veggies and drink a lot of water. That might help. But I don't take any vitamins.
