Why nais and hair continue to grow for sometime after death?

Question:

Answers:
Hair and nails aren't actually growing. Dead is dead. The only things growing after death are worms, bacteria, and flowers. May be the skin around the hair and fingernails will desiccate and thereby shrink. When the skin shrinks, it retracts, making hair and fingernails look longer, as if they'd grown.
I have heard that they actually don't grow. But because the body is shrinking it looks like the are growing longer. Sorry I don't where I have heard it, but it has been a couple of times.
Missxo is right. The skin starts to shrink, which makes the nail appear to grow. They actually don't grow.
I saw this on TV, Discover or the History Channel.
