Need help waking up?

Question:
So, every morning, I wake up at 5AM for work. It's so hard to get jumpstarted that early though. I mean, I know I can't instantly wake up, but gradually by 7AM I would like to be wide awake. I hate coffee and sometimes I don't have time to take a shower in the morning. Any alternative suggestions for ways of helping me wake up so I can be more alert that early?

Answers:
believe it or not apples are the best thing you can eat to wake you up!!, much better than coffee!, grab one and eat it in your car/on the bus or whatever!

or you could have a shower the night before and then wake up 10 minutes early and have a really quick shower, and then rinse off with ice cold water, its actually easier then it sounds, the cold water is good for your immune system/lymphatic system and it really wakes you up!!

you should try it!, i swear its great!! everyone should try it at least once!, use the coldest water your shower allows and lower the temperature gradually!
Have a cup of green or black tea.
Cold shower and peppermint chewing gum.
Snort a line of sugar, followed by a shot of lemon juice. If that doesn't work, a mouthful of aluminum foil will usually do the trick.
an alarm clock would most likly do the trick, then set it for a half hour earlier to help wake up! this works all the time for me.

hope i could help!
mountain dew
or other forms of caffeine
Why don't you take your shower at night before you go to bed. Maybe go to bed a little earlier so you won't feel so bad at 5 a.m. If you have to work; you may as well enjoy it. I used to like my job.
