Flagyl n bv?

i had be having discharge and irritation for months and finally i get myself to go into ethnic group planning, and was diagnosed next to bacterial vaginosis. I am now taking flagyl 500 mg 2 a afternoon for 7 days. I started taking them on sunday. Will this compltely cure me of bv? These pills make me kinda sick, and When does the discharge and symptoms usually start to move about away?
