A loose gastroesophageal junction ?

Question:
I've just had an endoscopy, and in the report it said I had a lax gastroesophageal junction GOJ, anyone know what this means and what this causes, if any thing? Thankyou

Answers:
You really should have your doctor explaining this.
It basically means that the 'gate' between your stomach and gullet is loose allowing food to go back and forth when it should stay inside the stomach. It causes heartburn if the acidic content in your stomach is allowed back where it shouldn't be. You really should avoid lying down with your stomach full and not eat too much.
This is a very short version, hope it helps.
