I think it is morally okay to use adult stem cells as opposed to those that are from aborted babies.
There is no scientifically proven advantage over using embryonic stem cells as opposed to adult stem cells, so why give people another excuse to murder babies?

I am a Christian, and I fully agree with the use of embryonic stem cells to treat any human condition that will benefit from such treatment.
As a Christian, I do not agree with the use of stem cells which result from the death of a human embryo. However, I am ok with certain other types of stem cell usage (such as what is found in the umbillical cord after the child is born).
I think a better question might be: Is it morally acceptable to use stem cells? Are you someone new to Christianity, and are sincerely wondering, or are you simply asking this question to spark controversy? What do you mean by 'Christian'? Because there are so many different denominations, and each one will have its own views on the use of stem cells.
There is a great deal of science behind stem cells that is way over my head, and there is a lot of rehtoric around this issue that has nothing to do with facts, and everything to do with having to be 'right'.
I suggest doing your own research. Find out what, if any, differences there are between using adult and embronic stem cells. Talk to your own religious leader - pastor, priest, amam, shaman, etc. - and get their input. Most importantly, search your own soul and see what you really feel is best.
Most christians I know are compassionate, intelligent, well-informed, well-educated people, and they all feel that if stem cells that were going to be destroyed could instead be used to save a life, or prevent someone from suffering, then by all means use them. They see it as very similar to organ donation. Why allow people to die, or to suffer, when a medical solution is readily available...
