Can paraplegics get erections?

Question:

i know it sounds wierd but myself and a few friends were arguing over whether a quadrapalegic or paraplegic can get an erection.does anybody have a solid answer on that?

i asked taht question in pathophysiology 2 class and the nursing professor responded that if they are paralyzed from the waist down then they cannot have a b0ner. if its the legs down then maybe they can have but it depends on where the damage is on the spinal cord. Most paraplegics cannot have erection. God only knows how that guy from family guy in the wheelchair impregnated his wife (she probably cheated on his @ss)
