Chlorine and hair loss??

Question:
how bad IS chlorine for skin/hair? i know it dries you out but could it do worse? i have OCD issues when it comes to chemicals and it prevents me from swimming...wish i had some clear facts to put my mind at ease

Answers:
Chlorine has no affect on your hair folicles at the levels you will find in most swimming pools.
As long as you're not swimming twice a day everyday, like swimmers do, your hair and skin will be fine. Use chlorine removing shampoo and soap.
The only thing I've heard of it doing is turning blonde's hair green. I don't think it would cause you much harm unless the pool was just filled with it.
It's awful!!

That's why more and more people get saltwater pools to get rid of all the chemicals. Also why people get showerhead filters to block chlorine and other chemicals.

Here are some articles that may help you understand it. It's a great site. http://www.curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=...

GOOD LUCK! :)
