The female nipple is fleshy enough to pierce securely behind plenty of skin to prevent rejection unlike male piercing. But that doesn't mean a nipple piercing can't reject - especially if it's not done properly in the first place. If the jewelry gauge is too thin or the piercing isn't deep enough to begin with, you run the risk of rejection. If you have an allergy to the metal, it could cause it to reject. If you have problems with infection and/or tug and pull on it too much, it could reject and be extra dutiful about your aftercare!
My first nipple piercing would not heal correctly. I had used ice packs compression bindings to stop my cloths from rubbing against it. I had been turning the Nipple bar when cleaning to ensure that it did not seal and using antiseptic wash. Eventually I changed the bar from medical steel to gold 18ct, (25£) it healed up within 1 month
Sea salt soaks will also provide comfort to a sore nipple piercing. Most nipples will rest comfortably in a small cup of salt water (not if your Male), so this can be done easily while watching TV, reading a book or relaxing, don’t do it on the way to work, unless you want lots of attention. Soak each pierced nipple for about 5 minutes and then rinse well.
The healing time can vary from person to person depending on their health and whether or not they follow the aftercare instructions. The first 14 days are crucial in the healing process. During this period it is important not to touch the piercing unless cleaning (once a day for the first 14 days), ensure no oral contact is made, and to be careful not to knock the piercing.
During the first 3 to 6 months it is not unusual to experience some secretion from the piercing, as this is part of the healing process. I would not advise changing the jewellery for the first 3 months unless you are having problems with rejection. If you do go back to your piercing studio and to make sure that only the highest quality body jewellery is used at all times.
use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE -- it should clear up. If it doesn't call the doctor...
