Question:
over the last 3 to 4 weeks i have been suffering abdominal pains.it is getting worse i think, after i ate food i had an attack of pain in my abdominal area really painful in my lower left side and other areas like the gap between my rib cage at the top.i have cut out all white breads,meat except chicken and drink lots of water in a hope it will go but its not going! its pretty much constant but it also comes on worse suddenly now and then its like a sharp pain thats stays and also i break wind alot but this only helps mildly if not at all also a tiny bout of constipation.just incase this is related i have just had an infected tooth which gave me a bad taste in my mouth and a gum boil and now a sore throat that hurts when i swallow,could this be affecting me? ie poisoning my stomach? i hope someone can give me a clue to whats happening i am going to see the doctor tommorow and see what help i can get (just to mention sometimes i get a burning sensation all over my lower abdominen)

Sounds like Crohn's disease or possibly irritable bowel syndrome, both are chronic digestive diseases that often don't show up until the early 20s.
Other symptoms may be diarrhea or blood in the stool. Pain shortly after eating or right before a bowel movement may also be indications.
Your doctor may indicate a stomach virus, but be sure to ask about white blood counts.
Crohn's disease is a digestive/immune disease indicated when the body attacks itself (through white blood cells) for no apparent reason - either in the small or large intestine. It creates ulcers and possibly fistulas through the skin or to other organs. The severity just depends on how bad the disease is. It may be genetic, it may be a virus. Many studies are being done currently to determine the cause. It may be a combination where a person is just more genetically susceptible to a virus that causes it as well.
Anyway, I hope it is just a virus, but be sure to at least do some research on www.webmd.com
Sounds like an STD. Get checked for HPV. Those are some of the symptoms.
