Will an ent doctor shave down the bump on my nose?

Question:
in addition to doing the surgery for my deviated septum and possible sinusitis? no one else in my family has this bump and it makes me cry every day

Answers:
I used to cry about the bump on my nose too but I got used to it. Now I called it my, "Van Gogh Bump" LOL

You have to go to a plastic surgeon to have the bump shaved down. Dont be obsessed with it, it doesnt make you who you are as a person. I know they are difficult to deal with but it hasnt hindered my life any having a bump on my nose.
you can ask him but i think it should be done by a plastic surgeon
Usually ENT surgeons don't do cosmetic procedures, only those that are medically necessary for physical problems. However, some surgeons do both so first of all ask him or her if they could do it. Even if they don't do cosmetic surgery per se, the Doctor still might be able to do it. It's not a matter of NOT knowing HOW to do it. He or she would know how to reduce a bump on the nose but they might do so for medical problems instead of just to improve someone's looks. It's only a matter of how comfortable the surgeon is of doing something strictly for a cosmetic reason. If he or she won't do it, you can find a plastic surgeon but the cost will be fairly high. Good luck to you.
