Are plantar's warts contagious in water??
Question:
Answers:
Under normal circumstances, they're not contagious.
The only material that I've seen that says they're contagious also wants to sell you something to treat them.
no u cant infect anyone through water and usually those water parks are super chlorinated anyways so you have nothing to worry about. enjoy your vacation!
From what I read here apparantly they are contagious in pools and such. I never knew that. Thanks you taught me something today.
Yes, they are somewhat contagious in water (my sister got one from a pool once); however, the pools at water parks are very large, so if the virus does get into the water, it will be so thinly dispersed that it would only infect a few people at most; it's not like every single person there would get it from you. Since you probably don't even want that to happen, consider wearing those water socks- yes, they look goofy, but they'll at least cover the warts. If you can, try to get the warts treated before you go on your trip. It usually takes several sessions to completely get rid of plantar warts, but it's better than nothing and your doctor will probably be able to tell you some ways to prevent it from spreading as much as possible.
