Absolutely; but this is contingent on both hereditary factors and one's diet. More specifically, if the father ate well as a child (and through puberty) BUT the son frequented fast food restaurants several times a week, the cards are stacked against being taller.

yup, my dad, and every one else realted in this family, has never grown over 6' but my brother grew over 6'3" and my dad is only 5'10"... and im a short lil 5'2"

I am 4' 11" and my son's dad in 5' 6". When I took my then 11 yr old son to the pediatrician the Doctor pulled out his growth chart, that he had been tracking since my son was 5. "I predict that he is going to be 5' 10 to 5' 11!"
MY son jumped for joy- "I'm going to be taller then Dad!" I would never have believed it- but sure enough, my now 21 year old is 5' 11". Pretty much the biggest and tallest in the family going way back to 6 foot tall Uncle Elvin! (whose name by the way mean "elf like" ) lol

Most people do get taller than their parents these days. If you are still within the growing age then perhaps you can add a few inches by eating a balanced diet and leading an active life. A nutritious diet that includes fruits and vegetables, dairy, cereals, meat, and plenty of water will aid the natural process for enhancing height. A good and proper night’s sleep is also essential for the growth process. Taking part in active sports along with some stretching exercises can have a cumulative effect on human growth. There is not much we can do to grow taller after puberty. There are many products in the market today that claim to increase height of adults, but they are all scams without sufficient scientific evidence. Surgical options, though available, are EXTREMELY RISKY and of course expensive. This leaves us with basically two options.
