Recovery is a life-long process. This is because drug addiction is a chronic illness. Once a person has gotten it, there will always be a possibility of him falling into relapse. For those who have gotten off the drug, recovery does not just end in inpatient rehabilitation. Certain measures must be taken so that the individual won't become addicted again.
