I must assume that you are from California. I regret to inform you that although California has a medical Marijuana law, the federal government does not recognize it. AND the feds are systematically arresting the operators of these offices. It was just announced yesterday. So you might get one, but you may never get to use it. In the states where it is legal i think you can go to dept of health offices. By the way you ought to check out the documentary: "In Pot We Trust". It's very thorough & informative.
