I was really shocked when I learned that my bestfriend is now an alcoholic. She moved to Pennsylvania last year, and we have constantly gotten in touch with each other through phone calls and emails. Last night, though, when she called me, she was crying and she ranted about how her life is now a lot different than before. The alcohol makes things so much worse. She now wants to get treated and I feel like the least I could do is help her find a treatment center even though I don't live there.
