Do I have OCD??

Question:
Ok I think I may have OCD I do some really strange things and i want them to STOP!!

For example:
I scratch at my scalp and eat the flakes- it's really really sick and i'm totally grossed out by it i've tried everything from sitting on my hands to wearing hats.

I think that because when i went to another school and had a REALLY bad 2nd year, that at the new school i'm at i will have a really bad 2nd year.

sometimes i get so angry i scream in pillows

I can't stand when people touch my back.

when my sister touches something (like pointing) with one finger i have to touch the same spot...

I hate this and it's really upsetting. I want to make all of this stop and be NORMAL. I'm getting at the age where boys are starting to like me and i don't want them to be grossed out by my strange habbits. HELP :'-(

And please serious answers only.

OCD, which stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, is an anxiety disorder where the person will feel intense fear about something so much so that she becomes obsessed with this fear and compelled to behave in a way that will lessen the obsessed fear. An example is an intense fear of getting sick. The person is so scared to get sick that she becomes obsessed with cleanliness and compelled to wash the entire house everyday with bleach or to wash her hands 15 times in a row.

Do you have an intense fear of something on your head? Does this fear lead you to have to scratch your scalp? Do you feel better after you scratch your scalp; does the fear lessen?

If you're not doing this out of a desperate attempt to avoid the feeling of fear or anxiety, this cannot be called OCD then.

You may just have high stress levels and trichotillomania- a disorder where you rip your hair out and scratch your scalp to reduce stress. Either way, you might need to see a psychiatrist.
I did the same thing, and I have OCD. Tell your parents, it will help a lot. Beleive me, I know how silly, yet tough, it can be.
it kind of sounds like it... do you have any wierd rituals though, like having to apply toothpaste three times before br4ushing your teeth (example)?

your best bet is to ask a doctor.
You should ask your parents to take you to see a professional. Whether you have OCD or not, you obviously have issues with the things that you do and they can help you work them out. Your parents might not even need to know what these are, as psychiatrists and psychologists are normally very discreet with their clients and won't discuss issues with your parents unless they feel that you may do harm to yourself.

Everyone has a strange habit or two and I don't think you should be freaked out about it, but really I'm sure it would help more hearing it out of the mouth of a trained professional.
Sound like you have OCD. i have it myself and it's not something that goes away. There are times when you think you're going crazy - you're not but people can be very cruel and if it gets worse it can seriously impede your lifestyle. Please seek counseling and if necessary medication. These things help believe me. i need a very normal, happy life but i take medication for it and if i don't speak out no one would know I suffer from OCD because my behavior is perfectly normal. Having to repeat everything was driving Me up the wall.

It's a common disorder so you're not alone but seek help. go to your dr first. He'll guide you. good luck
